Project. Situated in a prime location in Northern Orange County, Brea Mall is envisioned to be a lively outdoor village doubling as a central city hub in the heart of Brea. Already connecting to the existing Brea Trail to the north and main shopping strip to the west, the site is easily accessible from all points establishing a link to the greater city fabric. Proposing numerous modern amenities such as outdoor community gathering spaces and lush landscape throughout, Brea Mall will become an outdoor destination for the community to play, dine, socialize, and shop. Designed to have three flexible areas, Brea Green, Watergarden, and Garden Promenade, Brea Mall will invite and entertain guests year-round with unique programming and experiences to foster lasting memories.
Design. The landscape role focused on the hardscape design for common areas and solutions to add low softscape working around a fire lane access setback that posed to be a challenge.

Composed of a series of lush landscape islands, there are moments of discovery strolling through the shaded walkway and points to perch and relax in this romantic space.
Water playground inviting guests of all ages to engage and participate. Plenty of seating and unique berming planters with sculptural lights to create a whimsical landscape with a strong identity.
A flexible lawn space, this gathering area can host large scale events, seasonal activities, and programs (outdoor concerts, outdoor movies, group fitness).
